A45 Coventry Road Route Enhancement

Following consultation last April - July 2011 Birmingham council has agreed a £2.7 million plan to improve safety , traffic flows and pedestrian access along the length of the Coventry Road (A45).

For a number of years your councillors for Sheldon and South Yardley have campaigned successfully to remove the unpopular subways used by many local residents to cross the busy Coventry Road .

Already filled-in / replaced are subways at Brays Road and Arden Oak Road. This latest action removes two more subways at Lyndon Road and Manor House Lane.

I am confident residents will support these improvements which I am sure will enhance the Coventry Road corridor.
